Get your introduction to coding games here!  In Jr. Game Development 1, students use Microsoft MakeCode Arcade to learn the basics of programming a video game. Students create custom versions of classic games like Pong, Atari Breakout, Super Mario Bros., and The Legend of Zelda to get comfortable with coding and spread their wings! Jr. Game Development 2 will allow students to continue the adventure using Advent of Code and Unity.

Popular among indie developers, the game engine Unity is an industry workhorse! It's behind best-selling games like Fall Guys, Slime Rancher, Inscryption, Untitled Goose Game, and Among Us. In Intro to Unity, students learn the ins and outs of this professional video game editor, including how to code in C#.

Do you want to make your very own Minecraft mods? Look no farther! This class uses MCreator to immerse students in Minecraft's block coding world. Students will engineer their own code to change the behavior of Minecraft objects, animals, tools, and structures - and to make their own!
