UFA Scholarship Recipients
Private School (6 classes Credits) Full Year Registration
Tuition Costs and Enrollment
Our private school program is tuition-based and is offered as a single comprehensive private school enrollment, rather than charging only by individual class or subject.
Private school tuition is a simple flat rate of $6,500 per year for 6 class credits.
Most classes meet once each week for in-person instruction and count as 1 credit.
Because Science, English, and Math meet twice each week for in-person instruction, they count as 2 credits each.
Students in our private school program participate in a 3-day-per-week hybrid learning model. Some classes meet in person two days per week, with guided hybrid learning assigned for the additional instructional day. Other classes meet in person one day per week and include structured hybrid instruction for the remaining days.
Together, this creates a three-day-per-week instructional program that qualifies as a full-time hybrid private school model.

You do not need to wait for UFA approval to enroll. We will reserve your child's spot until you hear from UFA.
Our goal is to make scheduling easy to understand while offering students a strong academic foundation in their core subjects.

About our Homeschool Classes
Our homeschool classes, running from 10 AM to 3 PM, offer small group sizes of 3-7 students for personalized, expert instruction. Taught by highly proficient teachers, our classes are designed to provide an engaging, hands-on learning experience. Parents can customize their child's schedule by enrolling in single classes or taking advantage of our TIER program (see below). Parents are welcome to choose any number of back-to-back classes creating a homeschool block.

Q. Are prices listed per student or per family?
All prices are listed per student.
Q. What does “Private Music” mean?
“Private Music” refers to one-on-one lessons (individual instruction).
Q. I’m not sure which option fits my family—can someone help me decide?
Absolutely. If you have questions about which program or option is the best fit, contact us—we’re happy to help!
Q. Can I register early if I haven’t been accepted into the UFA Scholarship yet?
Yes. We accept early registration regardless of your current UFA acceptance status. During registration, select “Pending UFA Scholarship.”
Q. Does my child have to physically go to the Academy 3 days a week to be a private school student?
No. Your child must meet the minimum credit requirement for private school. Easy peasy:)
Q. Do you accept Open Ed, Harmony, and Children's First Education Fund?
Yes.
Q. Can I mix methods (e.g., bundle + monthly self- pay)?
Yes. We are happy to help with this process.
Q. How do I get to the Marketplace?
Go to the Odyssey Parent Portal, open your Wallet, then tap Shop Marketplace and search Utah STEM & Arts Academy.
Q. Can parents leave their students at the Academy during classes?
Yes. Parents who have back-to-back classes (homeschool block) often run errands, shop, or take their younger kids to the near by Children's Museum. We use a check-in system for your kids protection.
Q. How much money will I get back if I choose UFA Private School?
According to my last conversation with Odyssey, no amount has been determined.
Q. Should I choose homeschool or private school when I apply for UFA?
It depends on what you want to spend your funds on. If you want to spend your funds on classes, select Private School. This will give you the most funds for classes. If you want to spend it mostly on curriculum, choose Homeschool.
Q. Does your Private School mean I have to leave my students at your Academy all day 5 days a week?
No. Your students are only in class during their scheduled time. We offer a hybrid learning program for all Private School students. You can stack their classes however you wish. You're the parent. You make the rules. :)
Q. Can I change from Private School to Homeschool Marketplace if I change my mind?
Yes. (as of April 1, 2025)
Q. Can I change my Private School after I choose it?
Yes. But check with Odyssey. This seems to change more than my hair color. ;)
Q. Scenario: I Registered for another Private School when I applied. Can I change to your school if I change my mind?
Absolutely! You can change your school selection after your initial selection.
